The online portal also received an investment of 72.4 million pesos from Dalus Capital to launch expansion projects and grow their audience. GUILLER MO JAIM E , an Endeavor Entrepreneur selected in 2010 with his company MIA, has broadened his efforts with Social Global Leaders, a conglomerate of different companies. Through these organizations he seeks to make an impact and improve lives through four industries: affordable housing (MIA), potable water (Ecofiltro), clean energy (Vitaluz) and micro loans (Procrece). LUUNA , a mattress company founded by Will Kastan, Carlos Salinas, Laurène Marie and Guillermo Villegas, announced its expan- sion to Asia, with the launch of operations in Thailand, and plans to open in Indonesia and the Philippines on the horizon. Luuna is the first Mexican e-commerce company to target this large market. { ENDE AVOR ENTREPRENEUR S (from left to right) Daniel Vogel (Bitso), Vicente Fenoll (Kubo Financiero), and Adolfo Babatz (Clip), marked an import- ant beginning for the financial industry by helping create the first ever public policies around Fintech (Ley Fintech), recently approved by the Mexican government. ANABEL PEREZ , CEO and founder of fintech company Novopayment, became the first Endeavor Entrepreneur to join Endeavor Miami's Board of Directors—a milestone as the office celebrates its fifth anniversary. Selected into the Endeavor network in 2014, Anabel has lever- aged the Endeavor network to form an advisory board and find mentors among senior business leaders in the fintech industry. FIGS , founded by Heather Hasson and Trina Spear, raised the fourth-largest round for a female-founded company in the U.S. in 2017, with a $65 million invest- ment from Thomas Tull. FIGS is revolutionizing the medical apparel industry through its line of technical and tailored scrubs sold direct to consumer. NE ARP OD, an interactive education technology company selected into the Endeavor network in 2018, was recog- nized by EdTech Digest Awards in the Cool Tool Content Provider Solution Category. Previous winners include companies like Blackboard, Coursera and Smithsonian Learning Lab. SILVINA MOSCHINI , an Endeavor Entrepreneur selected in 2015 and founder of freelancer website Sheworks!, part- nered with EY to create 100,000 job opportunities for women by 2020. Through this partnership, Moschini also aims to raise awareness about the role cloud computing can play in maximizing employment opportunities for women.
