PH I LI PPI N ES SAUDI AR ABIA ANC , a global subscription television news network, partnered with Endeavor Philippines to air a weekly segment called "The Endeavor Effect." Endeavor Entrepreneurs from the Philippines, Endeavor Catalyst's Allen Taylor, Endeavor Japan's Tokushi Nakashima and Kazumasa Nakashima, as well as several local board mem- bers, were all featured on the show, which high- lighted Endeavor's work. K ENNETH COBONPUE , a luxury furniture designer and Endeavor Entrepreneur, won an award for best seating at the 22nd Annual IIDA/HD Product Design Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kenneth also completed several major projects, including a collaboration with Disney for a Star Wars-inspired collection and the concep- tualization of the newest terminal at the Mactan- Cebu International Airport. FAROUK M ER ALLI , founder of the health technol- ogy company mClinica, was awarded the Public Health Innovator Award from Harvard University for his work transform- ing public health in Southeast Asia. Farouk is the youngest recipient in the award's history. { ENDE AVOR PHILIPPINE S hosted the 79th International Selection Panel (ISP), the first time the office has hosted an ISP since its launch in 2014. At the ISP, 16 high-impact entrepreneurs were selected by Endeavor, including two entrepre- neurs from the Philippines. CL A SSER A , Saudi Arabia's leading e-learning platform, was selected by KSA's Ministry of Education to be implemented in all public schools. The Institute of Al Haram Al Sharif signed an agreement with Classera to establish an e-learning program, where students can enroll and attend the program electronically. TALENTS was incorporated into an initiative by the Ministry of Education called "Maher" that pro- vides high-tech workshops in secondary schools, focusing on hands-on, creative and engaging methods to provide quality science, technol- ogy, engineering and math education in Saudi Arabia. SAFEROAD, a connected car platform that enables clients to locate, monitor and communicate with their fleets in real-time, was selected by the World Economic Forum and World Bank Group as one of the 100 Arab world startups shaping the future. Today the company serves more than 250 corporate clients with over 20,000 vehicles in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan and China. q UTURN , an official YouTube partner, received an investment of $100 million from the French Fund to enhance and enrich digital content in Saudi Arabia. UTURN is a network that produces and features engaging local Saudi content for more than 2 million subscribers across several social media channels.
