TUN ISIA TURKE Y y E XPENSYA , an expense management solution co-founded by Karim Jouini (center), was selected into the Endeavor network at the 77th International Selection Panel in Dubai. Expensya's next gener- ation character recog- nition technology saves employees significant time while increasing their accuracy in logging expenses. In August, Uber announced that it would be integrating Expensya into their platform as an expense provider for their business customers. THE STARTUP AC T is transforming Tunisia's entrepreneurship eco- system. Developed by the entrepreneurial commu- nity and passed by the Tunisian parliament in April 2018, the bill consists of 20 measures aimed at making it easier for Tunisian entrepreneurs to launch ventures and scale up. NABIL TRIKI joined the board of Endeavor Tunisia in March 2018. He serves as the Managing Partner and CEO of SPE Capital Partners. Nabil prioritizes giving back to the Endeavor network, donating the most time of any Endeavor Tunisia mentor and serving as a panelist at the 80th International Selection Panel in Milan. COGNIR A creates AI-driven analytics software for retailers. Founded by Hatem Sellami and Bahadir Ustaoglu and selected at the 74th International Selection Panel in Brooklyn, Cognira's team brings decades of retail, software, and data science expertise to create the future of retail analytics. The company supports some of the largest, most successful retailers in the world. ENDE AVOR TURK E Y hosted the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Istanbul, which convened delegates from 171 countries April 16-19, 2018. With more than 2,400 people from around the world in attendance, attendees took a look at the intersection of mindset, culture and barriers that exist within all entrepre- neurship ecosystems. INSIDER , a company offer- ing cloud-based tools to e-commerce sites,received backing from Sequoia, Wamda Capital and Doğan Technology in 2017, becoming one of Turkey's most funded startups. The company currently oper- ates in 17 countries, and has a rapid expansion strategy. GR A M GA M E S was acquired by Zynga for $250 million at the end of May 2018. Gram Games founders Mehmet Ecevit and Kaan Karamancı were selected as Endeavor Entrepreneurs in May 2016 in Madrid, and have since connected with over 30 investors, entrepre- neurs and international mentors within the Endeavor Network. ENDE AVOR TURK E Y Entrepreneurs continue to rapidly expand internation- ally. iyzico has announced their expansion plans to 12 Eastern European countries this year, Foriba recently opened an office in Milan, and Insider acquired the Ukrainain AI startup İnfinitesoft to further strengthen their global positioning.
