F I F T H A N N I V E R S A R Y E D I T I O N P A G E 6 WELCOME WELCOME It is hard to believe that five years have passed since we launched Endeavor Miami along with the rest of the Founding Board Members. Endeavor focuses on supporting entrepreneurs who can scale and therefore create the most impact in their local economies. We can celebrate Endeavor Miami's Fifth Anniversary thanks to the growth that our Endeavor Entrepreneurs are having. We are proud to report that active Endeavor Miami companies expect to generate close to $200 million in revenues and 2,000 jobs in 2018. In this Impact Report, we highlight who they are and what they're doing to innovate. For the last five years, Endeavor Miami's mission has been to select, mentor and accelerate the growth of the best high-impact entrepreneurs with the aim of strengthening the South Florida entrepreneurial ecosystem. We are committed to supporting scale- ups, companies with the demonstrated business traction to deliver exponential growth, which are the ones that drive economic growth and job creation. Moreover, high-impact entrepreneurs inspire others to build their own companies and propel the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our story began 5 years ago when two of our Founding Board Members, Peter Kellner and Matt Haggman, met for the first time and spearheaded the initiative to bring Endeavor to Miami. With Knight Foundation's support, in record time, seasoned business leaders came together to form the Endeavor Miami Founding Board. In September 2013, Endeavor Miami was launched as the first US affiliate of Endeavor Global, which is now present in 32 markets around the world. Endeavor is the only global organization that supports entrepreneurs at scale around the world. All Endeavor Entrepreneurs have access to the global mentor and peer network, an invaluable asset as they strive to grow. Since then, we've welcomed new Board Members, a growing mentor network of seasoned business leaders and partners who believe in our mission to help Entrepreneurs and to foster a pay-it- forward philosophy for our entrepreneurial ecosystem to continue thriving. As we celebrate the end of this year, we are proud to highlight the support of our community recognized through the Beacon Council's Entrepreneurship and Innovation
