Charif Mzayek is CEO at Alissar, one of MENA's leading floral solutions providers. Charif's
journey with Alissar started at a young age where he grew up working in the shop-
established in 1979- after school, on weekends, and during summer breaks, learning about
the floral industry and how to run the business. Although Charif didn't expect to work in
flowers, yet upon his graduation, he was impressed by the great potential the company had
to become a major regional player. Charif joined Alissar in 1992 where he introduced new
technologies to the growing process, positioning Alissar as the first company in the region to
pioneer the production technique of soil-less culture. He holds a B.S. degree in Communication and Motion Pictures and
a B.M. in Music Engineering Technology from University of Miami.
