Perry advises clients on a wide range of corporate, private equity, venture capital transactions, and nonprofit transactions. He focuses on impact-oriented domestic and cross- border investments and M&A, as well as fund formation for nonprofit and for-profit sponsors. Perry regularly advises companies and tax-exempt organizations on corporate governance and financing matters. Perry serves on the advisory boards of numerous impact investing organizations, including the Global Impact Investing Network, Echoing Green, and LAVAN. Perry previously served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kazakhstan and has a JD, MBA, and BA in Organizational Studies and Political Science from the University of Michigan. S I L I C O N V A L L E Y B A N K ( S V B ) ANDY TSAO Andy Tsao is the Managing Director of SVB's Global Gateway, which assists innovation companies in the emerging markets with their US and international market expansion. He brings more than 20 years of experience banking dynamic companies in technology industries worldwide. In his roles, Andy manages SVB's relationships with venture capital and private equity firms outside the U.S., and also helps emerging market companies as they seek U.S. market entry and U.S. companies as they seek to expand abroad. In both capacities, Tsao provides these firms with strategic advice and banking services, including debt financing, based on a deep understanding of their needs. Previously, he led and helped found SVB's U.K.- based operation. For six years, he was responsible for building senior debt relationships with high-growth technology, life sciences, and clean technology companies in the UK and Europe. Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank in 1997, Andy was a technology lender at BankBoston, and BayBank in Burlington, Mass. Andy earned a bachelor's degree from Colgate University and an MBA from Boston University. Previously, John was a VP in SVB's Entrepreneur Services Group, establishing banking relationships with early stage enterprise software and hardware companies. John served earlier as a relationship manager for SVB's Emerging Technologies Practice, providing commercial banking services to early stage technology, life science, and cleantech companies. John holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Stanford University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
