My first venture Pozitron, a mobile software company focusing on digital banking, commerce and mobile payments became one of the fastest growing enterprise software companies in Europe with clients across the globe. After a multi year exponential growth and a successful international expansion, Pozitron was acquired by London-based fintech star Monitise plc in 2014. After the acquisition, I joined Monitise and oversaw the company's regional operations as the MEA Managing Director. Monitise MEA quickly became the most profitable business unit of Monitise Group. In 2017, Monitise Group was fully acquired by the US-based, Fiserv Inc, one of the world's largest fin-tech companies with more than 50,000 employees. Shortly after the acquisition, I left Fiserv and founded my newest venture, Commencis. Commencis helps leading brands grow and scale in digital, powered by it's Big Data, Analytics and Cloud products. I am also an active seed investor. Member of Galata Business Angels, Turkey's first angel investor group. The definition of success if changing around the world. For me, the motivation I am pursuing at the moment is to find ways to build and help a community that can generate a lot of value add for the people and the world. My company culture, my investments and my personal life mostly revolves around this pursuit of building an effective community. For the first time in 40 years, lease accounting rules are changing globally. Companies will soon be required to recognize every single lease asset (including vehicles, equipment, and real estate) on their balance sheet, adding an estimated $2 Trillion in new balance sheet listings. All public companies with lease agreements will be required to comply with these new standards by 2019, and all private companies and governmental entities must comply by 2020. LeaseQuery (LQ) is the first dependable accounting software that enables a seamless transition to the new lease accounting standards. George Azih is LeaseQuery's CEO and GAAP & IFRS leasing standards leader. In this role, he is responsible for leading the development of LeaseQuery's accounting team and giving clients expert guidance on leasing transactions. Giovanni believes in the idea that a better customer experience comes from technology and finance working together. He co-founded Moneyfarm with this principle to deliver the best solutions to protect and increase an individual's wealth over time. Prior to Moneyfarm, he worked at Deutsche Bank AG. Giovanni graduated from Bocconi University with a degree in Finance and has an MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Cass Business School.
