While Alex was growing up, his father climbed the corporate ladder at Avon Cosmetics, eventually becoming President of the Latin American Division. Alex idolized his father and often accompanied him on business trips. While studying economics and advertising in São Paulo, Alex worked at Firmenich, a Swiss fragrance company. In 1998, he joined International Fragrance & Flavors Inc. and held several marketing positions. Alex became an industry expert and was offered the Sales & Incentives Director position at Jafra Cosmetics, where he learned the nuances of direct sales. In 2003, the owners of Jafra put a majority stake of the company up for sale. With over half a century of cosmetic experience between the two of them, Alex and his father felt prepared for and excited by the opportunity to run their own business. #JantardeResultados2018 We have built a booking platform for healthcare providers to help create delightful health experiences. I'm Anabel Pérez, CEO and Co-Founder of NovoPayment, a FinTech company that helps banks and financial institutions to innovate via digital financial services and the creation of new use cases. My job is to attract talented people and put them in a position to succeed for our clients. I love solving complex problems like financial inclusion, and am obsessed with finding ways to take financial services to new places and moments in people's lives. I was trained as lawyer, but am a techie at heart. I love talking to and learning from other entrepreneurs and reading about technology, business, and transformational change in companies and industries. Since we founded our company, we've expanded to eight countries and today have more than 72 deployments reaching more than 12,000 corporate platform users across the Americas, touching more than 2.7 million end users. My background is in banking and payments including commercial and retail banking, product development and financial services. I'm a member of the Forbes Finance Council and have been honored with being an Endeavor Entrepreneur since 2014 and a member of Endeavor Miami's board since 2018, as well as the recipient of the Paybefore Industry Achievement Award in recognition of my contributions to the payments space and to financial inclusion in Latin America. Our company uses a banking-as-a-service (BaaS) platform to support varied use cases that help banks, financial institutions and others throughout the Americas.
