He joined the CEO Office at Rakuten and founded the Global EC Fund in 2016 after handling several special CEO tasks to make Rakuten into a truly global innovation company. Over the last 10 years, he has led the firm's expansion into new geographies, and led investments into eCommerce, agriculture, fintech, job matching and healthcare companies. He has also been instrumental in integrating a gender-lens across the firm's operations and investment strategy. Beau is on the board of Kalibrr and mClinica, and is leading Patamar's investment strategy focused on the "Future of Work". Beau is an Eisenhower Fellow and Kauffman Fellow, and holds a JD/MBA and B.S. in Psychology from Brigham Young University. R A K U T E N C A P I TA L HIROSHI TAK ASAWA Hiroshi is the Head of Rakuten's investment arm, Rakuten Capital and CEO at Rakuten Asia's regional head office. Since joining Rakuten in 2005, Takasawa has been leading several Fintech businesses, including venture and private equity investments and contributed to merger and acquisition deals and post-merger integration processes. Prior to holding executive positions at Rakuten Inc, Rakuten Securities, and Rakuten Life Insurance, he also worked for Nomura Securities in Tokyo and New York. S A I S O N C A P I TA L KENICHI ITO Kenichi is Vice President at Credit Saison Asia Pacific. He leads investing and business development for the corporate venture arm. He has 8 years of experience in investing across various countries and industries. Kenichi started his career at Sumitomo Corporation. He holds an MBA from INSEAD.
