He is the former Senior Vice President of Sales Productivity at Salesforce credited for creating and executing the organization's sales training programs that accelerated revenue growth from $500M to $3B+, leading to recognition as Salesforce's "2011 Executive of the Year" by Marc Benioff. Elay is recognized as a Top Innovative "Mover and Shaker" in sales leadership by Entrepreneur magazine and by LinkedIn as one of the world's top sales experts. P O L A R I S P A R T N E R S GARY SWART General Partner Gary Swart is a veteran Silicon Valley executive and venture capital investor. He is a Partner with Polaris Partners and previously was the CEO of oDesk (NASDAQ; UPWK), the world's largest online workplace. Gary guided the company to industry leadership and through a merger with Elance, while serving as a leading voice for the future of work and the emerging online work industry. Prior to oDesk, Gary was the vice president of worldwide sales for Intellibank and was previously a business unit executive for IBM's Rational Software Product Group. Gary serves as a thought leader in entrepreneurship, marketplaces, sales leadership, the future of work, building teams, and on the rise of the freelance economy. G A I N S I G H T K ARL RUMELHART Chief Product Officer Karl Rumelhart is Chief Product Officer at Gainsight responsible for all aspects of Gainsight's Customer Cloud solutions including product marketing, product management, engineering and operations. Karl has held senior product and marketing roles as an early employee at VMware, leading product management for VirtualCenter and driving the acquisition of SpringSource. Karl has also run product teams at enterprise social pioneer, Jive, and predictive analytics pioneer, Infer. Prior to his software career, Karl was an academic mathematician, lecturing at Stanford University after receiving a Ph.D. from Harvard University.
