#49 TM 8.1 During his time as VP, DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation, Nabil oversaw the development of innovative logistics projects to support Fortune 500 companies doing business globally. Together with his team, he developed and implemented solutions related to digitalization, automation, big data and robotics. Nabil is passionate about innovation, e-commerce and entrepreneurship. He is also a regular speaker on the conference circuit. In his free time, he serves as an advisor to high growth start-ups, accelerators and universities. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in International Trade from the University of Montpellier. Why did you decide to become a mentor with Endeavor Miami? "Being passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship, I love to share ideas, experience and give back to the community. I chose to become an Endeavor Mentor since I really admire what Endeavor is doing in high impact entrepreneurial projects. The focus of the organization in ideas and teams which have the potential to change the world and make it a better place was very appealing to me. I was very impressed by the team and the professionalism of the organization, looking forward to continuing my active engagement with so many great entrepreneurs." What is the best advice you would give to a company looking to scale? "When your company starts to truly scale, you have to make sure you adapt your structure and ways of working to the size to ensure you can serve the growth & invest ahead of the curve. Simultaneously, you have to make sure you keep very strong positions on your vision, values and principles that made you get where you are. Another thing, take money from investors if you really need it or if they can take you to the next level of growth, otherwise, focus on growing through customers!" What do you think is the direction the Miami entrepreneurial ecosystem will be following in the next year? And how do you see Endeavor as a player in this trajectory? "I've been living in Miami for 10 years and I've seen the evolution of Miami entrepreneurial ecosystem, it has grown a lot and has great potential. I think the next phase of growth needs to come from entrepreneurial projects and ideas which would have a competitive edge by being based in Miami. Think of startups targeting the LATAM markets or LATAM startups entering into the US; industries which are very strong in Miami like hospitality, real estate and logistics, or even maybe sustainability startups (sea level rising is a big problem here and also we could certainly do more in Solar in Florida). I think Endeavor has to continue to connect the community and promote the ecosystem, the role of catalyzer of the ecosystem is something which is critical for the continuous growth of the entrepreneurial activities in Miami." VP eCommerce at DHL, Speaker & Advisor Nabil Malouli DHL Leading innovation, strategy and product development of e-commerce fulfillment and last mile solutions. "Adapt your structure and ways of working to ensure you can serve the growth & invest ahead of the curve."
