NICOLÁSSZEKASY Argentina Managing Partner | Kaszek Ventures Before launching Kaszek Ventures, a Venture Capital firm focused in the technology industry in Latin America, in 2011, Nicolás was an Advisor to Tiger Global Management and an Angel Investor in 2010. Prior to that, he was CFO for 9 years at MercadoLibre, Latin America's largest online commerce and payments platform, where he led its $333 million IPO. Throughout his career, he has closed M&A deals and issued debt and equity capital exceeding US$2Bn. Nicolás is currently a Board Member of Endeavor Argentina, a Board Member of Endeavor Global, and an active mentor to entrepreneurs. He received the "Endeavor Emerging Markets Mentor of the Year" award in 2011. FERNANDOVALLONE Uruguay Director | InCapital Fernando Vallone is Accountant who earned his degree at the UDELAR (Montevideo, Uruguay). After assuming various positions of responsibility related to finance, in 2004 he joined Pronto!—the Leading Consumer Finance Company. At Pronto! he built the Risk Department and then became the Chief Operating Officer. In 2010 Fernando was actively involved in the sales process of Pronto! that ended with the purchase 100% of Pronto! by Scotiabank. After the acquisition in 2011 Fernando became the CoCEO of the company. In 2013, Fernando left Pronto! to become a Director at InCapital, a Private Equity Firm in Uruguay. OMARVEGA Argentina Director | Alaya Omar has more than 20 years of experience in the software industry. He is co-founder of VATES S.A., a company dedicated to software development with a business turnover of about 70 million Argentine pesos. Currently, he is the director of the company, providing strategic support to the business and production areas, both to the internal and the external market. Omar has experience mainly in the Telecommunications Industry, which he gained throughout more than 10 years participating in projects as a provider of Claro (América Móvil). DANIELWASSERMAN Colombia Managing Director | The Abraaj Group, Colombia Daniel is a Managing Director of The Abraaj Group in charge of investments and fundraising in Colombia, who began working with Aureos in 2007 (Aureos was acquired by Abraaj in 2012). He opened the Aureos office in Colombia and led the creation of the Aureos Colombia Fund in 2008, which is a part of ALAF that houses funds from five Colombian Limited Partners. To date, he has made several rounds of investments in three companies for the Fund in Colombia. Prior to joining The Abraaj Group he was an independent consultant, started a real estate investment company, and was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey and Co. in both the Bogota and NY offices. 12
