Problem
Visual creatives use (analog) visual aids
such as drawings, sketchboards,
moodboards in order to help them think and
share what is inside their minds.
In today's connected, global world,
collaboration is key to spark new ideas and
also drive them to reality.
Most online collaboration products are text
based and are not playful enough to
empower visual ideation and
communication.
Visual creative teams still mostly rely on walls to produce visual aids for their chaotic creative
process, and later take pictures and share via inefficient methods.
Solution: Mural.ly
Collaboration suite that enables visual
creative teams to work better together.
Murals are zoomable walls with web content
(videos, links, photos, etc) that is combined
flexibly to visualize, design, imagine,
discuss and show ideas.
Tech
These Murals are Websites, accessible
from any HTML5 browser and shared online. They can even be cocreated realtime in a group by
just sharing a link.
The Team
Mariano Suarez Battan, CEO and Pato Jutard, CTO who founded Three Melons, sold to
Playdom/Disney in 2010, after creating Bola, a Facebook soccer game that was played by more
than 20M users (1M daily during the World Cup in 2010). Seven full time employees, mostly
engineers based in Buenos Aires, complete the team.
Funding
Seed round of $775k in March 2012 from Intel Capital, Alta Ventures, 500 Startups and angel
investors from the US and Latin America. Mariano is planning to move to San Francisco and raise a
new round of funding in Q2 2013. More info: https://angel.co/mural‐ly
