JAKE ANDERSON United States Sequoia Capital Jake works with consumer products, consumer internet and healthcare companies. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2010, Jake worked at Cord Blood Registry, a consumer healthcare company, as a Senior Manager where he helped manage new service offerings and strategic partnering. Earlier, he was with Pequot Capital's healthcare ventures practice and was involved in investments in the medical device, biopharmaceutical and healthcare services sectors. Jake has a BA in Russian from Duke University and MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. FRED ASLAN United States Vice-President | Venrock Fred joined Venrock in 2006 and is focused on the medical device and drug development sectors. At Venrock, Fred has led multiple investments, and presently serves on the Board of Directors of Receptos, Inc. Fred is also founder and CEO of ADVANCE Medical, a Venrock portfolio company that is focused on the commercialization of medical technology in Brazil and other countries in Latin America. Prior to Venrock, he was with Atlas Venture assessing investments in medical devices and biotechnology. Fred received his B.S. in Biology from Duke University, M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine and M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
