THE COMMERCE REVOLUTION 08:30 – 09:00 Gold Room Last year, eBay CEO John Donahoe oversaw eBay in enabling $175 billion of commerce, roughly 18% of all e-commerce worldwide. In his keynote, he will speak about the transformation of retail, bridging the online and offline, and the future of commerce. With JOHN DONAHOE'S leadership, eBay has become a global commerce platform and payments leader, with revenue in 2012 of $14.1 billion. Across its eBay, PayPal and GSI Commerce platforms, the company enabled $175 billion of commerce in 2012, which represents about 18% of e-commerce worldwide and about 2% of global retail. The company is also a mobile commerce leader, with eBay mobile commerce volume of $13 billion and PayPal mobile payments volume of $14 billion in 2012. The company is focused on enabling commerce as a partner, not a competitor. WENCES CASARES is a technology entrepreneur. He is Founder and CEO of Lemon.com. Originally from Patagonia, Argentina, Casares launched that country's first internet service provider, Internet Argentina S.A., in 1994, a company he would go on to sell in order to found the Argentine online brokerage Patagon in 1997. With Casares serving as Chairman and CEO, Patagon established itself as Latin America's first comprehensive internet financial services portal and expanded its online banking services to the United States, Spain and Germany. In 2002, Casares along with his partners in MECK, Ltd. founded Banco Lemon, a retail bank for the under-banked in Brazil. DAVE GOLDBERG is the Chief Executive Officer of SurveyMonkey, the leading provider of online survey solutions. Dave has been a successful entrepreneur, investor and technology and music industry executive. He has run and successfully grown several online consumer businesses. Dave founded LAUNCH Media Inc. in 1994, which delivered music and music-related content online, and he led the company through its acquisition by Yahoo! in 2001. Following the sale, Dave served as Vice President and General Manager of Yahoo! Music where he led the company's global music operations and built it into the Internet's mostvisited music destination.
