Gonzalo Costa Argentina NXTPLabs Gonzalo is a Founding Partner at NXTP Labs, a seed-fund accelerator based in Latin America, with more than 50 investments to date. He has experience in private equity and venture capital, and has participated as angel investor in several projects. Previously, he was Managing Director at Endeavor Argentina, a US-based non-profit that fosters entrepreneurship in emerging markets. Gonzalo also worked in Santander Investment and GE Capital, both in New York and Argentina, where he was involved in mergers and acquisitions. Pedro de Garay Mexico GBM Global Pedro is the portfolio manager for GBM Global and GBM Mexico Fund where he oversees GBM's two multi-strategy funds, with a primary focus in the Mexican market. Prior to this he co-founded Fundación Futuro, an NGO created to support "excellence in educational programs" in Mexico in 2008. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City. Thelma De La PeÑA Mexico American Express Thelma De la Peña serves as VP of Acquisition & Early Engagement at American Express. Based in Mexico, Thelma leads the personal cards acquisition efforts for American Express in Mexico, developing strategies to attract and retain customers. Previously she ran the Corporate Travel business unit for American Express in Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to American Express, Thelma worked with GE Capital and Proctor & Gamble. She is a graduate of the Monterrey Institute of Technology, and holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. ROGELIO DE LOS SANTOS Mexico Alta Ventures Rogelio de los Santos is the Managing Director and founding partner of Alta Ventures, a Mexican venture capital fund. Mr. de los Santos is a serial entrepreneur with 18+ years of experience in diverse areas, including fostering entrepreneurship, mining, logistics, education and entertainment. Because of this experience, Mr. de los Santos was brought on by vSpring Capital as a Venture Partner and Entrepreneur in Residence. Before joining vSpring Capital, Mr. de los Santos was Founder and CEO of Xtreme Cinemas, a cinema chain focused on small and mid-size cities in Mexico. 10
