SPEAKERS & SPONSORS = Endeavor Entrepreneur Jaime Cater Mexico Health Digital Systems (HDS) A serial entrepreneur since the age of 19, Jaime Cater Gutierrez is at the forefront of the movement to modernize healthcare in Mexico. His company, Health Digital Systems (HDS) provides Mexico's hospitals, clinics, state health departments, and health insurance providers with a common, web-based software platform that enables them to digitize and share records and processes that have been traditionally – and inefficiently – managed on paper. For each project it undertakes, the company spends significant time building a technological infrastructure, training staff, and creating new operational norms in traditional workplaces. Jaime was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur in December 2009. MoÍs Cherem Mexico Enova ENOVA was founded in 2007 as a social enterprise by childhood friends Moís Cherem, Jorge Camil and Raúl Maldonado to attack Mexico's education crisis and help close the digital divide by bringing technology-based, blended learning courses to Mexico's poorest urban neighborhoods. Enova does that by designing, implementing and operating a chain of educational centers known as the Red de Innovación y Aprendizaje (RIA), or the Learning and Innovation Network. Today the RIA chain includes 70 centers, has registered over 400,000 users, graduated almost 123,000 students, taught more than 19,000 courses and retained 68% of students (people who began and completed a course). Miguel ANgel DÁvila Mexico Latin Idea Ventures Miguel Ángel Dávila has over 24 years of professional experience and is recognized as one of Mexico's most successful entrepreneurs. In late 2009, Mr. Dávila joined Latin Idea as Partner. From 1993 to 2008, he was co-founder and CEO of Cinemex, one of the largest and most successful venture capital investments in Mexico. During his tenure with Cinemex, Miguel created a proven track record in developing a company from a business plan to a large, profitable and institutionalized business with over US$140 million in revenues. Throughout his career, Mr. Dávila has participated as an angel investor in several businesses related to the service sector such as Grupo Impulsor Prado Norte and Tiendas 3B. 4
