Recognized as one of the strongest economies in the region, Malaysia is ranked 1st in the world for access to credit and 12th for ease of doing business, according to the World Bank. While Malaysia has successfully transformed from a low- to middle-income country, its economy is squeezed by its neighbors, with low-wage economies on one hand and more innovative advanced economies on the other.
