SPEAKERS SINA AFRA Turkey Markafoni Sina is an Entrepreneur and Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Markafoni, the first and leading Flash Sales Site of Turkey. Markafoni became the first Turkish internet company expanding beyond the borders of Turkey: Markafoni launched Flash Sales sites in Australia, Ukraine, Greece and Poland between 2009 and 2011. In Turkey, Markafoni established zizigo.com as well as misspera.com and acquired enmoda.com. The Naspers Group acquired in July 2011 a majority stake at Markafoni and signed for one of the biggest deals in the Turkish internet. Sina is also an active Business Angel and invests in early stage start-ups. DIDEM ALTOP Turkey Endeavor Turkey Didem is currently the Managing Director of Endeavor Turkey. Prior to joining the Endeavor Global network, Didem was involved in management consulting on social and business entrepreneurship. She has worked with Turkey's leading holding companies to promote and design Corporate Social Responsibility strategies and has also worked with Turkey's leading non-profit organizations on capacity-building campaigns. Didem serves as a board member of the Third Sector Foundation of Turkey (TUSEV), to support civil society development through regulatory reform, non-profit capacity building and promotion of philanthropy. HASAN ASLANOBA Turkey Aslanoba Capital Hasan Aslanoba was born in 1963 in Bursa, Turkey. After completing his high school education in Bursa, he graduated from the Istanbul University Management Program and received an MBA from San Diego National University in 1988.Hasan started working as CEO at Erikli Water, his family business in the water industry, in 1990. Under his leadership, the company grew to become the leader of the bottled water industry in Turkey by 2005. In 2006, Erikli Water partnered its Turkish operations with Nestle Waters, the global leader of the bottled water industry.Hasan served as the joint venture's local partner and CEO, creating one of the world's largest and most efficient water bottling plants in Bursa. 4
