He currently serves on the board of directors of MarkaVIP, Souqualmal and Bank al Etihad in Jordan. Prior to joining Hummingbird, Basem was a Managing Director at Perella Weinberg Partners in London where he led the technology banking business in Europe. Prior, he was an Executive Director in the technology banking team at Morgan Stanley. Basem also held a number of executive management roles at BEST IC Laboratories, a semiconductor start up in Silicon Valley. Basem has a MBA with honors from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science with honors in Electrical Engeneering from Brown University. He is fluent in Arabic and English and speaks French. BERKIN TOKTAS Turkey Revo Capital Berkin Toktas is a Managing Partner at Revo Capital, a $50M venture capital fund focused on innovative and defendable early-stage technology companies in Turkey. Prior to Revo, Berkin was lastly with Turkcell, where he governed innovation and corporate ventures, and internally incubated MM$+ multi-screen services including Turkcell TV, Dergilik and Kitaplik. In 2000s, Berkin held various leadership roles at T-Mobile USA, overseeing strategy and business development activities, M&A options and enterprise-wide pricing moves. Berkin holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. in Operations Research.
