Endeavor works closely with its entrepreneurs to share their stories and challenges with others. CULTURE ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE NURTURED; WOULD-BE ENTREPRENEURS NEED TO LOOK UP TO ROLE MODELS AND BE INSPIRED. THEY NEED TO BE WILLING TO TAKE RISKS AND KNOW THAT IT IS ACCEPTABLE TO FAIL. Half of the entrepreneurs surveyed by Endeavor Lebanon believe that Lebanese society views entrepreneurship in a positive light. However, almost as many say there is no (or little) tolerance of risk in Lebanon. One of the reasons people are inclined to be risk averse in Lebanon is the country's economic and political instability. Yet, despite the uncertainty, three quarters of the entrepreneurs surveyed by Endeavor Lebanon state that they became entrepreneurs because they "like to be self-employed" and almost half of the respondents mention "better financial prospects". Limited salaries and opportunities for advancement in the local market tend to reduce the opportunity costs of becoming an entrepreneur in Lebanon.
