THE ENDEAVOR STORY
Writing Economic Futures
Endeavor was born in 1997 when co-founders Linda
Rottenberg and Peter Kellner saw that growth markets
like Argentina, Brazil, Turkey and Lebanon had Steve
Jobs-caliber entrepreneurs, but lacked the mentors
and role models of Silicon Valley. Their vision was that
by "selecting" these High-Impact Entrepreneurs and
connecting them with local and international business
leaders, Endeavor could help them grow their businesses,
creating entrepreneurial ecosystems that would inspire the
next generation to become entrepreneurs. The goal was
to partner with these entrepreneurs to transform these
economies, improve social prosperity, accelerate economic
growth and create world-class opportunities.
In 2011, Endeavor Lebanon was launched as a local
affiliate, set up as an independent non-profit organization
under the leadership of six founding board members who
championed Endeavor's mission in Lebanon.
