5 RABIH NASSAR Lebanon Element^n JOANNA REES United States SodaRock Ventures ANTONIO CARLOS SOARES Brazil Runrun.it Rabih is the founder and CEO of Apstrata, a cloud platform that enables Mobile Operators to transform into App & API economy infrastructure suppliers. Apstrata helps manage this radical shift by providing turnkey infrastructure & support. In 2006, Rabih serverd as SVP of Engineering for Vidavee, a cloud B2B video on-demand startup acquired by Vignette. In 2003 he founded element^n and is still leading it as CEO. In 2000 he co-founded Super11. net in Brasil, growing in few months to one of the largest Latin American ISPs, Application Service Providers and portals. Rabih earned a B.S. in Telecommunications from the St. Joseph University – Lebanon and an MBA from the École Supérieure des Affaires – ESCP/EAP. Joanna is a Managing Director of Soda Rock Partners where she serves as an investor, board member and senior advisor to several private high growth companies and non-profit organizations. Joanna is also the Managing Director of Endeavor Catalyst where she is leading the formation and capital raise of the fund supporting high-impact entrepreneurs in emerging markets. Joanna was a candidate for Mayor of San Francisco in November 2011. Joanna has served on the board of more than 25 venture-backed start up companies across a broad range of industries. She is currently a senior mentor and a seminar moderator at the Aspen Institute. She also is an Adjunct Professor at Santa Clara University where she teaches Leadership in the Leavey School of Business. Antonio Carlos has been leading cloud-enabled companies for the last 7 years. As co- founder and CEO of Runrun.it, he is helping to improve the productivity of hundreds of thousands of Brazilian companies by proving Work Collaboration SaaS. His company is backed by Monashees Capital and 500 Startups. Prior to that, as partner and CEO of Aorta, he transformed the content producer in a mobile application development platform reaching market leadership in Brazil. The successful selling of Aorta to Grupo RBS puts Antonio among the few proven entrepreneurs in the Brazilian Tech Arena. Antonio also worked in Strategic Consulting and Investment Banking.
