17 FELIPE VALENCIA Colombia Inventure Felipe Valencia is Founder of Inventure, a firm in which early-stage and growth- stage companies find integrated solutions for structuring their business initiatives, raising seed, growth, or venture capital or financing, accelerating their growth, and generating liquidity events. Previously, Felipe was Project and Development Manager at Piersen Capital in Beijing and Mexico. He also served as Director of Proexport in China, where he was in charge of the promotion of Chinese investment in Colombia. Felipe is a mechanical engineer by trade who graduated from Universidad EAFIT, and also holds a degree in Web Communication from the Instituto Europeo de Diseño en Roma, as well as an MBA from Chicago University. LEONARDO SUAREZ Colombia Torrenegra Labs CONSTANTIN THYSSEN Colombia Quantum Media Brands Leonardo is a partner at Torrenegra Labs, a seed investment firm that has supported companies like Bunny Inc., VivaReal, DashBell, WeHostels, and MiCarga. He is also co-founder of HubBOG, the 1st campus for start-ups in LatAM, which combines collaborative workspaces with education and services for entrepreneurs. He was formerly CEO of Voice123 and COO and co-founder of DashBell, a global platform for the management and distribution of tourist properties. Currently, he is the CEO and co-founder of Advisers, a service that connects entrepreneurs with curated and experienced co-founders, CEO's and executives that will help them get to the next level through the structuring of performance based advisory boards. Constantin is the founder and CEO of Quantum Media Group, which establishes and manages Media Investment Funds for leading Media Groups in Emerging Markets, e.g. Quantum Media Fund Colombia. Constantin started his professional career, after graduating from the European Business School in London in 2000. As an entrepreneur in the digital music industry he built over 25 Music Download Stores for ISP's, TV Radio and Newspaper Groups as well as Fashion Brands and Major Music Labels. Furthermore, Constantin build the very first fully licensed and legal Streaming Music Platform in Europe, roccatune, which won various awards in 2008 and 2009. CARLOS VELÁSQUEZ Colombia Sethos Capital Carlos Velásquez is the Principal Colombia Partner at Sethos Capital Partners. Prior to joining Sethos, Mr. Velásquez served as Partner at LeafAir, LLC, a renewable energy consultancy organization across Europe and Latin America. During his tenure at LeafAir, Mr. Velásquez successfully transacted several projects such as installing a 35MW plant in Italy, 25MW wind farms and 19MW biomass plant in Poland, and a 20MW plant in Colombia. Mr. Velasquez also served as Vice President at Blue Ocean Harvest where he led the successful "pilot" development of 140 residential apartment units in Antioquia, Colombia. The project's aims were to confirm his team's initial investment thesis that strong financial returns could be realized in the real estate sector within Colombia.
