4 ANDRES ANGULO Colombia CAMPOALTO Andres and his partners Alvaro and Hugo, have changed Colombia's education sector and are now poised to significantly grow the reach of their skills training business across Latin America. Established in 1996, CAMPOALTO is a vocational training institute with seven campuses in Bogota and one site in Miami. The business aims to narrow the gap between Colombia's labor and job markets by training the country's young and economically disadvantaged population to enter the workforce. CAMPOALTO now has 7800 students, 16 vocational programs and 2 expansion plans designed by MIT sloan of management and Boston Consulting Group. With a graduate placement rate of 73%, CAMPOALTO is making a significant impact in Colombia, which currently has the highest unemployment rate in Latin America. SPEAKERS ADOLFO BABATZ Mexico Clip Adolfo Babatz is the co-founder and CEO of Mexico City-based Clip, a leaing mobile payment system. Clip is transforming the point of sale (POS) experience for users and businesses in Mexico. Clip's first-to-market chip reader provides the nation's safest and most flexible payment platform, which deploys patented fraud protection technology and has the ability to accept all cards, local or foreign, no matter the issuer. With its cutting-edge technology, design and local know-how, Clip aims to be the go-to payment solution in Latin America, a goal to which it has already made significant strides; Clip expects to be the fifth largest card payment option in Mexico by the end of 2014. EDUARDO AMADEO Colombia Nazca Ventures Eduardo Amadeo co-founded Nazca Ventures in 2012. Nazca Ventures is a regional venture capital fund with a presence in Santiago, Bogotá, Mexico and Buenos Aires, that invests in early stage companies with high growth potential. At Nazca Ventures, Eduardo in charge of analyzing, negotiating and following up on investment opportunities. Prior to co-founding Nazca Ventures, Eduardo worked for 10+ years with a wide variety of public organizations in Argentina.
