6 ESTABAN MANCUSO Colombia Velum Ventures Esteban has an extensive experience in the management of small technology firms, through his role as an advisor for a diverse portfolio of innovative entrepreneurial organizations throughout Latin America, including ANDI, Corporación Ventures, Wayra, MET Community, Capitalia, HubBOG, Founders Institute, Groupon, Donaccion.org, NxtpLabs and Fondo Nexo Emprendedor (Santander Bank, Argentina). Lacouture earned her Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Government, and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia, and went on to acquire a Masters Degree in Economics and Marketing from Cornell University. Dan is fluent in Spanish, and has broad experience representing technology companies and venture capitalists from Silicon Valley and Latin America. Dan is the co-author of "Five Compensation-Related Mistakes Startups Make (And Should Avoid)," which appeared in VentureBeat, February 2010. Dan speaks regularly at Latin American technology and entrepreneur focused events and was a panelist at the Colombia 3.0 conference in October 2012.
