9 SANTIAGO ALVAREZ Colombia Bamboo Finance JULIO AYCA Colombia Grassroots Business Fund NATASHA BARANTSEVA Colombia Grassroots Business Fund Santiago is an Investment Manager with Bamboo Finance. He is focused on the financial inclusion and access to energy sectors in Latin America. Prior to joining Bamboo Finance Santiago worked at the emerging markets private equity specialist Actis in London. He was particularly focused on energy deals in Latin America and Africa. Prior to Actis, Santiago worked for Adobe Capital in Mexico and in management consulting in Latin America for several years. He has also spent time working for Grameen Bank in Bangladesh and the financial mobile payment company Zoona in Zambia. Santiago was an Investors Circle Fellow in 2011 and a Skoll Centre Associate Fellow in 2010. Julio Ayca has been working in the venture capital industry in Central America for seven years; finding and evaluating potential investments, performing due diligence, and supervising investee companies. Julio is Peruvian, and has an MBA from INCAE Business School. He was an INCAE researcher and has written more than 35 documents, including case studies, technical notes, and papers about functional areas such as Finance, Operations, Strategy, Marketing and Organization. Natasha has been with GBF since 2008, and as the Regional Manager for the Latin America region, she is responsible for managing GBF's activities in the region, including business development and partnership building, as well as management of the investment portfolio, capacity building programs, and impact measurement. Natasha earned her B.A. in economics with a specialization in management and marketing at the International University in Moscow, Russia, where she graduated magna cum laude. She also holds an M.A. in liberal arts with a concentration in Latin American Studies from Dartmouth College; and an M.B.A. from McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. INVESTORS
