4 JOSÉ ANTONIO DÁVILA IPADE Mexico José Antonio Dávila Castilla is the director and professor in internal policy and the director of the Center of Investigation in Business Initiatives at IPADE (PanAmerican Instutite for High Business Direction) in Mexico. He currently advises businesses in diverse industries on subjects related to starting new businesses, business model innovation, and the development and implementation of strategy, boards of director, and family businesses. José received a doctor of management from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, a Master´s in business management for executives with experience from IPADE. He also studied a program in direction at IPADE and studied mathematics at the UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónomoa de México). JOSÉ MIGUEL CORTÉS Mexico Ventures Mexico PILAR AGUILAR Endeavor Mexico Mexico José Miguel has been an investment professional at Mexico Ventures since 2013, where he is responsible for analyzing and assessing investment opportunities in funds and companies. As an active participant in the Mexican venture ecosystem, he regularly conducts workshops for entrepreneurs and represents Mexico Ventures at industry events. Prior to joining Mexico Ventures, José Miguel worked in the treasury department of Banamex in Mexico City. He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from ITESM and a M.Sc. in Finance from EADA. Pilar Aguilar is the Managing Director of Endeavor Mexico AC. She was previously the Director of Human Resources for Bain & Company, Mexico Inc. Before joining Bain, Aguilar headed business intelligence for Telefónica Móviles México, where she was responsible for market research, market intelligence, and store information, and served on the board of directors. She was also a consultant for McKinsey & Company, focusing on the energy and transportation sectors and was Director of Corporate Development for Satélites Mexicanos between 1998 and 2000. She holds a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from the University of Texas in Austin.
