SUSIE SUGDEN Vela Asia Indonesia SUZY HUTOMO Body Shop Indonesia Indonesia EDWIN SOERYADJAYA Saratoga Capital Indonesia Susie is the founder of Vela Asia, one of Southeast Asia's leading multi- platform ecommerce retailers. Vela offers a suite of end-to-end ecommerce solutions to brick-and-mortar retailers in Indonesia and international brands trying to navigate the nuances of the Indonesian market. Vela delivers the expertise and infrastructure to bring its clients online throughout the ecommerce value chain from digital marketing to warehousing and fulfillment. As a boot-strapped startup, Vela generates additional revenue through modules aimed at a particular pain point along the value chain. The company also operates multi-brand portals under websites Kukuruyuk.com and Paraplou.com. Suzy is the co-owner and CEO of The Body Shop in Indonesia. She believes that all businesses should be sustainable, and is involved with several environmental organizations in Indonesia and in South East Asia. Suzy has been a very active mentor and ambassador for Endeavor Indonesia, and was awarded the Endeavor Indonesia Mentor of the Year Award in 2015. She holds a bachelor's degree in business from the National University of Singapore. Edwin is the founder of Saratoga Capital, the first private equity firm to go public in Indonesia. Edwin began his career in 1978 at Astra International, one of Indonesia's largest diversified companies founded by his late father, William Soeryadjaya. He spearheaded Astra's financial restructuring in 1987, which culminated in the company's listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in February 1990. Astra is currently the largest Indonesian company by market capitalization. Edwin was the company's Vice President Director when he left in 1993. He was awarded the 2010 Indonesia Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young. Edwin graduated from University of Southern California's School of Business in 1974. ANTON WIRJONO The Goods Department Indonesia Anton is the founder of The Goods Group, a chain of multi-label stores based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Goods Group is fast becoming a major hub for fashion and lifestyle products from a selection of local and international brands. The Goods Group consists of a retail business (The Goods Department) and a restaurant line (The Goods Cafes and The Goods Diner).
