Eduardo Hipogrosso Independent Investor Uruguay Cecilia Amorín AngelClub UY Uruguay Carlos Kokron Qualcomm Ventures Brazil Martín de los Santos MercadoLibre Commerce Fund Argentina Eduardo Hipogrosso has served as the Dean of the Communication and Design Department and has been a member of the Academic Council at the ORT University since 1995. He is also the former president of the Interactive Advertising Bureau in Uruguay. In addition, he is a well-respected specialist in the management of technology and educational projects. Eduardo completed a degree in Systems Engineering at the Public University of Uruguay, as well as post graduate studies in management at ESADE University in Barcelona, Spain. Cecilia Amorín is the General Manager of AngelClub UY, an angel investor network formed by the foremost tech entrepreneurs in Uruguay, investing in start-ups and growth companies from Uruguay and the region. Prior to AngelClub UY, Cecilia was the Editor in Chief of Café & Negocios, Uruguay's first magazine dedicated to entrepreneurship. Additionally, she works as an editor for Plaza Financiera, one of the leading finance and economics journals in the country. She holds a B.A in Communications Science from the Universidad de la República (UDELAR). Carlos Kokron is a Managing Director at Qualcomm Ventures, Latin America, based in São Paulo, Brazil. At Qualcomm, he is focused on investing in early and expansion stage startups in mobile health, education, and IoT. Carlos has 15 years of experience in the ITC industry, having invested in and worked with young and growth stage technology companies as a VC/PE investment professional in Latin America and the U.S. for over 10 years. Prior to joining Qualcomm Ventures he was responsible for Intel's business with Service Providers in Latin America. Earlier, he was the Director of Intel Capital for Latin America and Southwest U.S. and Partner at Stratus Group in Brazil responsible for the firm's Growth Capital platform. Martin became the Vice President of Finance at MercadoLibre in 2013 after having served on the corporate board since 2008. Before joining MercadoLibre, Martin worked as CFO of Vostu.com and served as the Director of Business Development at IMPSA (Grupo Pescarmona) between 2003 and 2011. In 1999, he founded LID Group, an investment and tech start-up company in Argentina and Brazil. Martin has an MBA from Stanford University and a BA in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina.
