Ariel Pfeffer Trillonario.com Uruguay Ariel Pfeffer, Founder and CEO of Trillionario.com, has been actively involved in the direct marketing business in Latin America for the past thirty years. From 1984 to 1989, as the CEO of Office Generale Publicitaire for Latin America, he created catalog companies in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay, and Brazil. From 1990 to 2004, Ariel was based in Brazil and was the chairman and CEO of his own direct response TV company, which included catalogs, credit card syndication programs, print advertising, and e-marketing. Since 2005, he has founded several companies including FonoFarma. com and MeCanse.com, among others. Ariel was formerly the president of the Junior Chamber of Uruguay, Vice President of the Fundo Comunitario do Estado de São Paulo, director of the FISESP in Brazil and a board member of Piso 40 Club of Executives of Uruguay and Endeavor Uruguay. He is an active member of the Club of Business Angels of IAE in Argentina, Co-founder of the Punta Tech Meet Up, and international board member of the Young Presidents' Organization - World Presidents' Organization. Ariel graduated from the University of Uruguay with a degree in economics. Marta Cruz NXTPLabs Argentina Marta is the Co-founder of NxtpLabs, the most active early-stage technology investor in Latin America, that invests capital, provides training, coaching, and mentoring within a 14-week-program. Before NXTPLabs, Marta founded Nextperience, a digital creative agency focused on performance. She has also previously served as a consultant for PENUD (Programme for the Development of the United Nations) and has been appointed Manager for companies such as Siemens and Market Review as well as Regional Director for Latin America of the MRM-McCann Erickson group. Marta holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Buenos Aires and a PhD in Management from IAE. Jonathan Whittle Quona Capital United States Jonathan is the Managing Partner of Quona Capital, a financial technology venture capital firm focused on expanding the access and availability of financial services for underserved consumers and businesses in emerging markets. Quona Capital is sponsored by Accion International, a global leader in micro finance. Prior to joining Quona in early 2014, Jonathan was the Co-founder and CEO of Acesso Soluções de Pagamento, a prepaid card issuer focused on the under-banked population in Brazil. Before launching Acesso, he was a Principal at Darby Private Equity for nine years, where he managed Darby Technology Ventures, a pioneering venture fund focused on Latin America. Before joining Darby in 2002, Jonathan was a founding executive of three venture-backed telecommunications and data services companies in Latin America — Optiglobe (now Tivit), Diveo Broadband Networks, and RMD Americas. He is based in Washington D.C. and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Guillermo Mulville IFC Argentina Guillermo Mulville is the Principal Investment Officer and Lead for TMT Latin America at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he oversees equity and debt investments across the region. Prior to that he was the Head of Telecom and Media Finance for Latin America at ABN AMRO Bank. He is based in Buenos Aires.
