Gonzalo Arauz International Finance Corporation Argentina Gonzalo Arauz is an investment officer at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he focuses on private equity and venture capital investing in the TMT sector in Latin America. Prior to this, Gonzalo worked in the Oil and Gas, Energy and Transport sector. Gonzalo earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsulvania and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology. Nico Berman Kaszek Ventures Argentina Nik Berman is a Partner at Kaszek Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on the technology industry in Latin America. Before joining Kaszek Ventures, he worked for 13 years at MercadoLibre, where he was VP of Advertising, VP of Marketing, Marketing Manager, and covered several roles in the company's technology and product areas. He led several key projects in search, BI, UX, and SEO, and created the company's affiliate program, which was the largest in Latin America. During all these years, Nik has also been a very active advisor and angel investor in the Latin American startup scene. He currently sits on the board of several technology companies: PedidosJa, Zupcat, and Pitzi, and is an advisor to Lulu. Nik received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Buenos Aires. In addition, he was the President of AMDIA (Argentina's direct marketing association), received an Echo Award by the DMA in 2000, and is currently an active mentor of Endeavor Argentina. Nicolas Szekasy Kaszek Ventures Argentina Nicolás Szekasy is a Co-founder and Managing Partner of Kaszek Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on the technology industry in Latin America. Before launching Kaszek Ventures in 2011, Nicolás was an advisor to Tiger Global Management and an angel investor. Prior to that, he was CFO for 9 years at MercadoLibre (NASDAQ: MELI), Latin America's largest online commerce and payments platform, where he led its $333 million IPO in 2007. Throughout his career, he has closed M&A deals and issued debt and equity capital exceeding $2 billion.He received an MBA from Stanford University in 1991 and graduated in the top 2% of his class from the University of Buenos Aires with a Bachelor's degree in Economics in 1988. Nicolás is currently a Board Member of Endeavor Argentina, a Board Member of Endeavor Global, and an active mentor to entrepreneurs. He received the "Endeavor Emerging Markets Mentor of the Year" award in 2011. Humberto Matsuda Performa Investimentos Brazil Humberto Matsuda is the Managing Partner for early stage investments at Performa Investimentos. Humberto holds a MBA degree in Finance, Marketing and Investor Relations from Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Contábeis, Atuariais e Financeiras (FIPECAFI) and a bachelor degree in Law from the Sao Paulo Estate University (Faculdade de Direito do Largo Sao Francisco – USP). Currently, he is a Board Member at the ABVCAP (Brazilian Venture Capital Association) as well at other companies, and is a mentor at several acceleration programs in Brazil, other Latin American countries and in the U.S. Since 2007, he has focused on managing venture capital investments in innovation driven businesses.
