9 VIVIAN BARING DMGT International United Kingdom SCOTT BIRNBAUM Red Sea Ventures United States Vivian started working for his family business - DMGT - in 1981. He then became Chairman of A&N International Media, building a collection of digital businesses in nine countries in Central and Eastern Europe, concluding one with a successful exit in 2012 when the Group decided to refocus on core markets. In 2011, he became Deputy Chairman of DMGT International, looking for digital businesses that will complement existing DMGT companies worldwide with a particular focus on Latin America. Vivian is also Founder and President of Seagrass Capital Partners, which is investing in angel and early stage digital start ups in Latin America Scott is the Founder of Red Sea Ventures. He combines 15 years of entrepreneurial experience including his time as co-founder of Epok, an early cloud-based Enterprise solution launched in 2001 with his experience as a corporate attorney at White & Case and digital media expertise developed at CBS Local where he focused on Strategy and Business Development. Scott is a member of the Board of Seeds of Peace, a founding member of Young Leadership Committee (YLC) and served as Chairman of the YLC Board. Scott is the recipient of the Young Peace Maker award for his outstanding leadership in and dedication to supporting the mission of Seeds of Peace and the YLC. Scott grew up in Paris and attended Georgetown University and Fordham Law School. He sources, analyzes, and negotiates partnership opportunities with high-growth technology, data, and media companies. He also assists portfolio companies in business development, strategy, and mergers & acquisitions. Joao is also a member of NeoAssist. com's Advisory Board and is a member of 4vets' Board of Directors. He earned a B.A. in Law from Universidade de São Paulo, a B.A. in Economics from Ibmec, and was an exchange student at HEC Paris. Ax Ventures is an early stage venture capital firm specializing in IT (SaaS) , Big Data, Digital Products, Fintech, BioGreen, NanoTech & New Materials, and Wearebles. Pymar is a venture capital fund sponsored by Fundación Empresa y Crecimiento, the Multilateral Investment Fund of the InterAmerican Development Bank, COFIDES, CAF and Argentine Private Investors. Pymar seeks to invest in Argentine innovative and technology companies that target regional and global markets.
