26 JOSE LUIS CISNEROS MADRID La Zarza Mexico NICOLAS COCK DUQUE EcoFlora Colombia Jose Luis is the Managing Director of La Zarza, a company that makes classic Mexican desserts and pastries from the highest-quality ingredients and distributes them across Mexican states through 61 proprietary and franchise stores. The company is planning an aggressive expansion of both its geographic reach and its portfolio dessert options. Previously, he worked as General Manager at Alphagraphics in Puebla and Plant Manager at Transcom Company, where he also served as Manager of Research and Development Laboratory. He attended courses on small business management, quality management, franchising and social responsibility and is currently studying for a Diploma in Senior Management Continuity. Nicolas is an entrepreneur, innovator, and leader who has participated in the design and implementation of various companies, organizations, programs, products, and projects related to sustainable biotrade, natural products, and green technologies. He has contributed to export high value disruptive innovations, goods and technologies based upon Colombia's botanical megadiversity. He founded EcoFlora, a biotechnology and natural products company that provides a range of natural alternatives for use in agriculture, food and personal care products. EcoFlora, built around Nicolas's pioneering spirit, has become a national leader in innovation — and is now positioned as a small but rapidly growing company with significant international growth prospects. DIEGO CHEJA Medix Argentina Diego and his father Jack lead Medix, an Argentine company that offers technologically sophisticated, globally competitive infant and intensive-care medical devices. Founded in 1972 as the first Latin American company to target the global neonatal care market, Medix manufactures, imports, and distributes its medical devices to hospitals and medical clinics to more than 70 countries worldwide. In October 2014, Medix was acquired by Nautus for US$14M. Now, Diego, a serial entrepreneur and medical doctor, is launching his second company - Clover. FEDERICO CELLA Lynkos Uruguay Frederico co-founded Lynkos, a technology company that focuses on product development and sales. Their technology allows insurance companies, retirement funds, and companies with investment funds to develop alternate sales channels and improve profits. It also improves efficiency by facilitating electronic processing. They are the first company of this kind to begin operations in Uruguay and Argentina. Their platform supports the products of 300 organizations, inlcuding Skandia, Allianz, Old Mutual, American Fidelity, BUPA and Swiss Life and dovetails with the services offered by AIVA.
