He co-founded and led CalendarFly.com, an education technology company, and has been a member of the NYC startup community as an adviser and startup competition judge since 2010. Drew also has a deep finance background getting his start in FX and analysis of esoteric structured finance products. He has led publicly traded restructurings, capital raising, and partnership negotiations on three continents including in North America (U.S. and Canada), Asia (China and Hong Kong) and Europe (France). Francisco Alvarez-Demalde is a Founder and Partner of Riverwood Capital Partners, and heads Riverwood's efforts in Latin America and its New York office. Riverwood manages approximately $1.5 billion and makes private equity investments in high-growth businesses, primarily in the global technology, technology-enabled, and related growth industries. Prior to establishing Riverwood, Francisco was an investment professional at Eton Park Capital Management, where he focused on a variety of private equity investments in Latin America, an investment executive at KKR, where he focused on leveraged buyouts in the Technology Industry, and an investment banker at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Early in 2010, Claudia joined The Rohatyn Group ("TRG") as a Managing Director dedicated to TRG's Private Equity practice in Latin America. She is one of the founding members of the Latin American Private Equity Fund ("LAPEF") and led the fundraising efforts for the firm's first Latin American fund with commitments from leading pension funds and financial institutions in North and South America. Claudia currently focuses on sourcing, evaluating, executing, and monitoring investments for LAPEF and serves on the Board of Directors of three portfolio companies in the region - NeoSecure, Intcomex and Confipetrol. Prior to joining TRG, Claudia was a Director at the AIG Global Emerging Markets Private Equity Group.
