In order to demonstrate the importance of high-growth companies in economies, Endeavor Insight, the organization's research arm, analyzed the relationship between scale-ups and job creation in nine countries in which Endeavor operates. Analyses revealed that in these nine countries 5-20% of companies created 30-75% of new jobs. Research findings for Lebanon highlight the crucial role played by scale-ups in a country where job creation remains a challenge. The country faces an even greater challenge with respect to youth unemployment, with a recent World Bank study estimating it to be around 34% 5 . Moreover, new adults expected to enter the job market in the next few years are likely to strain the job market even further.
