16 SEAN PETERSEN IFC Venture Capital Fund United States LUIS PINTO Learn Capital United States ABHAY PUSKOOR FTV Capital United States Sean is a Senior Investment Officer at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). He has spent ten years making venture backed investments and invested in more than 15 companies. Prior to joining the IFC, Sean worked for Good Energies VC in New York, launched SwapsWire Ltd. (acquired by MRKT on NASDAQ), and co-founded Blackbird, Inc., the world's first electronic derivative trading platform. Sean began his career at Merrill Lynch in derivative trading & IT. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a Chemical Engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Luis is the Global Operations Partner at Learn Capital. Previously, he led the internationalization effort at Intel's biggest worldwide partner for K12 Classmate PC solutions (JP-IK's Magellan). In 5 years, the initiative reached more than 70 governments, generated business in 30 active countries, created a new channel partner network with 200+ members, impacted 10M+ students, and managed $300M+ yearly revenues. Luis was instrumental in driving sales and managing government relationships in the regional contexts of Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. Luis holds a MsC from Cranfield and was Founder of a sustainable development management consulting firm, Sustinova. Abhay is a Vice President at FTV Capital. Prior to joining FTV Capital, he was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Credit Suisse, where he focused on mergers & acquisitions, recapitalizations, and capital raising transactions for asset management and financial technology companies. Abhay received his BA in Economics and International Relations from Bard College. SCOTT RANSENBERG Riverwood Capital United States Scott is a Principal at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Scott worked with the Credit Suisse Technology Group in the corporate finance, investment banking division based in San Francisco. While at Credit Suisse, Scott advised on and executed a number of strategic financing initiatives for leading public and private companies in the technology sector. Scott graduated from Stanford University where he earned his bachelor's degree in mathematical and computational sciences and was a captain of the men's varsity swim team.
