Prior to launching this fund, he founded Grupo AMV Design and was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2008. He has received several accolades for his work: the book "La Nueva Cara de México" recognized him as one of the entrepreneurs responsible for transforming Mexico and he was selected as the entrepreneur of the year by Expansion Magazine in 2007. Juan is an active mentor and advisor to numerous startups across the region. Francisco is a founding Partner of Riverwood Capital Partners, and heads Riverwood's efforts in Latin America and New York. Riverwood manages more than $2 billion and makes private equity investments in high-growth businesses, primarily in the global technology, technology-enabled and related growth industries. Before establishing Riverwood, Francisco was an investment professional at Eton Park Capital Management, where he focused on a variety of private equity investments in Latin America. He has also worked at KKR, where he focused on leveraged buyouts in the technology industry and other sectors in both North America and emerging markets, and at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mariano is the Managing Director of Wayra, Telefónica's OpenFuture startup accelerator in Spain. Wayra has a portfolio of more than 500 innovative companies representing 20 different digital industries across 12 countries. As a consultant, entrepreneur and blogger at uberbin.net (one of the first Spanish language technology blogs), Mariano covers online communities, Internet and new media topics. Mariano is the CEO of Hipertextual and serves on the board of several startups.
