Co-founder Ignasi Vilajosana started the company in 2008, realizing that he wanted to leverage cutting- edge technology and innovation to address real-world urban chal- lenges. With Worldsensing, Ignasi and his team built a generic plat- form that would be able to connect to any wireless sensor that collects and stores data. The company now uses patented sensors to capture data that assists with managing traffic, optimizing parking, and monitoring industrial infrastruc- tures. Embracing the idea of smart technology, Worldsensing's solu- tions are applicable to a number of verticals, further enhancing the company's potential for scalability. Ultimately, Ignasi and his team plan to transform both city man- agement and data communication by helping organizations leverage big data to improve safety and sustainability.
