27 SERENE MAWLAWI ProFinance Lebanon Serene Mawlawi has over 23 years' experience in the financial industry, working on numerous debt and equity transactions across a wide range of sectors, both in the United States and in the Middle East. She spent six years in Citibank-New York's corporate finance area, covering lending and M&A transactions for large and medium sized corporations before moving to Beirut with Lebanon Invest in 1996. First as a Senior Manager in Lebanon Invest's Project Finance area and then as Co-Head of the Corporate Finance department, she led transactions in the hotel, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing sectors. Serene left Lebanon Invest to establish ProFinance in August 1999. ANDREA LOWE LPEQ United Kingdom VANESSA GSTETTENBAUER Founders Factory United Kingdom Andrea has led LPEQ since inception, bringing over 20 years experience in investment management marketing strategy, research and communications. After graduating from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, USA, she was a market research analyst for Pillsbury and Gillette, later earning an MBA from Stanford University in California. Andrea previously worked for fund manager GT Management (later INVESCO) in London, developing marketing strategy in Europe, the US and Asia. She also served as editor of the PricewaterhouseCoopers European Investment Management Newsletter for many years. Vanessa is an Investment Manager with Founders Factory, a multi-sector accelerator and incubator based out of London and lead by Brent Hoberman, Co-Founder and Chairman of Founders Forum. Launched in 2015, it's building an ecosystem that supports authentic innovation informed by large corporates in need of new technologies. In this role, Vanessa sources early stage technology businesses & top ideas for their accelerator & incubator cohorts and support the startup cohorts to leverage their global network to scale their businesses. Her current focus is predominantly EdTech. Vanessa graduated from the University College London with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. MILOŠ MILISAVLJEVIĆ Strawberry Energy Serbia Milos Milisavljevic is Founder and CEO of Strawberry Energy, a company that develops solar urban furniture for smart cities. Strawberry Energy's mission is to enhance the experience of people in public spaces and provide them with energy and connectivity on the go. Their smart street furniture brings the Internet of Things to outdoor public spaces that people visit daily, improving urban living by making cities smarter and more convenient to live in. Miloš got his start in renewable energy and entrepreneurship while in college, when he established a student company and became a national champion of youth entrepreneurship. He has been a guest speaker at various events such as New Cities Summit (Dallas) and Re.Work IoT Summit (San Francisco, London).
