21 Gerardo Mendoza The Abraaj Group Mexico Gerardo Mendoza Llanes is a member of the Latin American investment team, where he is a director responsible for sourcing, executing, and monitoring Abraaj's investments in Mexico. Mr. Mendoza has 10 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. Gerardo sits on the board of OMG Labs, a Mexican ecommerce platform that he co-founded in 2012. He has been an active mentor at Endeavor since 2008 and is the former president of Net Impact´s Mexican chapter. Gerardo holds an MBA from Stanford University and a B.A. in Economics from ITAM, where he co-authored a dissertation thesis titled "Determinants of Private Equity and Venture Capital Fundraising in Latin America. Sebastián Miralles Sebastián is the Head of Venture Capital and Mezzanine Strategies at Fondo de Fondos where he leads investments in LP interest, direct equity, and mezzanine deals. Previously Sebastián played a transformative role coordinating the Private Equity team of CAF throughout Latin America. Prior to CAF, Sebastián worked with the Global Value Equity team of Morgan Stanley and as a senior consultant in the Financial Services Group of Kroll. He earned an MBA from IESE Business School and was valedictorian in his undergraduate class in international business at Universidad Panamericana. Sebastián holds both the CFA and the CAIA designations. He is a founding member of the CFA Society of Mexico, and a member of Mexican Council on Foreign Relations. Mexico Ventures Mexico Pablo Morayta Fondo CyC Mexico Pablo is Managing Director of the CyC fund, a seed stage investment fund in Mexico. Pablo is also Associate Director of Fintech Mexico, a recently created organization, which looks to support the growth of the Fintech industry in Mexico. He previously interned with the M&A division at Pepsico and was a financial planning analyst at Alsea. He has participated as a judge in various events organized by the Iberoamericana University and by Startup Mexico. Pablo holds a B.A. in Finance from the Iberoamericana University and has completed coursework in Evaluation of Projects and Investments at the ITAM.
