31 Alejandro Cantú Rodrigo Calderon Alejandro Carrillo Rodrigo is the CEO of Energetika, a green tech provider that helps organizations implement high-impact energy systems throughout the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance phases. The value proposition, which Energetika delivers to clients through the innovative integration of hardware and software, is twofold: have a positive environmental impact and reduce costs. Rodrigo was trained as a systems engineer at the Tec de Monterrey and began his career at Calling Solutions Mexico, a fiber optics and call center provider. He eventually became the company's General Director for Mexico, managing 800 employees and handling accounts for Verizon, AT&T, PEPSICO, and TELCEL. InterLatin Mexico SkyAlert Mexico Energetika Mexico Growing up in Mexico City, Alejandro Cantú experienced his fair share of inevitable earthquake and preventable engineering disasters. After obtaining his degree in telecommunications engineering from Iberoamericana University in 2009, Alejandro joined Skytel, his family's critical telecommunications business, as R&D Manager. In this role, he spearheaded the development of a critical messaging system to inform fire stations of nearby fires. In 2011, he left Skytel to start his own company with co-founder Álvaro Vasquez. SkyAlert developed an app that serves as Mexico's Early Earthquake Warning System. SkyAlert is the only company in the world that's able to detect, measure and transmit earthquake alerts to several platforms. SkyAlert's app has had an 8%-12% conversion rate with over 60K paying subscribers in less than 5 months, making it the most successful Mexican app ever. SkyAlert is looking for investors to help further hone its technology and is currently raising capital to expand into the US market. SkyAlert will launch America ́s first Early Earthquake Warning System in California by July 2016. SkyAlert has received awards from MIT and Microsoft. InterLatin is bringing Mexico to the forefront of the technological boom. Globally, high- tech businesses are outsourcing manufacturing processes, such as circuit board assembly, testing and inspection, final assembly, and distribution. InterLatin provides equipment and services that optimize every aspect of the fabrication process. Alejandro Carrillo Hernandez, founder and general manager of InterLatin, developed an interest in electronics at a young age. He studied electrical engineering at the Ciudad Juarez Institute of Technology and earned a certificate in Electrical Manufacturing and Quality Control from the Union for Japanese Scientists and Engineers. Although Alejandro had extensive technical expertise, he realized he lacked broader business acumen, and decided to enroll in the MBA program at IMD in Switzerland.
