42 Gonzalo Pérez Sandro Piancone Vidbox Mexico iSend Peru Gonzalo Pérez, current CSO of iSend, has more than 12 years of experience in the world of entrepreneurship with a focus on strategy and business planning. iSend has developed an on-demand courier service which connects independent messengers with companies and people that require immediate courier service and delivery insurance. In February 2014, the company launched a pilot in Lima, closing the year with 250 monthly orders. For 2015, iSend is on the path to have more than 25,000 monthly orders and income of US$120,000. The company has been focused on the B2B segment, working with the principal e-commerce companies in the country, and soon it will improve its express and food delivery services. Beyond Peru, iSend plans to enter Mexico, Colombia, and Chile (where it is already present as a participant of Startup Chile).t Sandro is a serial entrepreneur who has helped to introduce a number of US brands to Mexico, including Miller Beer, Thrifty Ice Cream, Roma Food, and Rockstar Energy Drinks. He sits on several corporate boards, advising on issues such as trademark and labeling requirements. Since 1998, he has generated well over $500 million dollars in sales and profits for his clients and partners helping them export their products into Mexico. He has advised Fortune 500 companies, authored four books, and spoken all over the US on how to do business in Mexico. He currently runs Vidbox, which provides an easy way to rent the latest new release movies at only $15 pesos per day. Vidbox is a fully automated video rental store contained in 12-square feet of retail space, featuring up to 200 titles and holding 950 discs.t Eduardo Porta Eduardo is the Co-founder of Econduce, a shared electric scooter service with no emissions and zero noise, powered by a network of charging stations. Backed up by in-house technology, this service includes everything users need (driving orientation, insurance, helmet, recharges, and maintenance) to solve the hassles of moving around congested cities. Users benefit from a pay-as-you-go model, saving time and money through easy, fun, and green urban transportation. Eduardo is an industrial and systems engineer, with a degree from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, and more than seven years of experience in the clean energy and sustainability sectors in Latin America, Europe, and the US. He is a Chevening Scholar with an MPhil in Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge, and is currently completing a Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Stanford University.
