Hisham began his career in assurance services and has been instrumental in developing the strategic direction of the firm as well as managing the overall business. He has advised multinational, regional and local family businesses on a wide range of issues including compliance and regulatory matters, as well as conducting numerous valuation exercises, due diligence reports and feasibility studies. Walid Hanna is the Founder and Managing Partner of Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), a MENA based venture capital firm with $110M of AUMs. Walid has 16 years of experience in venture capital and in new venture development for the past 16 years. He has founded, co- founded, invested in, and led more than 30 companies spanning a range of industries, including technology, consumer finance, and hospitality in Dubai, Amman, Cairo and Beirut. Prior to founding MEVP, Walid served as CEO of Dubai International Capital's venture arm and the Arab Business Angels Network (ABAN). Before ABAN, he was on the investment management team of Abraaj Capital. IHSAN JAWAD MEVP Khaleej FZ LLC UAE Ihsan Jawad is an internet entrepreneur and Partner at Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP) based in Dubai. After founding Zawya.com and exiting to Thomson Reuters in 2012, he went on to co-found HoneyBee Tech Ventures, an incubator and venture capital firm set up to seed consumer based internet start ups. Before entering the internet space, Ihsan worked in investment banking first at Merrill Lynch and later with Schroeders (now Citigroup) in London. Ihsan received a B.Sc. and Masters in Physics from Imperial College, London.
