JASON GREEN Founder & General Partner, Emergence Capital ANDY FREIRE Minister of Modernization, Innovation, and Technology, Buenos Aires Jason is a Founder and General Partner of Emergence Capital. He has been in the venture business for 20 years and has backed 8 "Unicorns" so far in his career (Visual Networks, DoubleClick, Ask Jeeves, aQuantive, SuccessFactors, Box, Yammer and Gusto). He serves on the board of the National Venture Capital Association, and was the Founding Chairman for the Kauffman Fellows Program. Jason also served as Chairman of the West Coast Research Center for Harvard Business School and is a Founding Board Member of Endeavor, the leading global non-profit supporting entrepreneurship. Jason currently serves on the boards of CoTap, Lotame, Replicon, ServiceMax, SteelBrick, SalesLoft and xAd and is an observer at Gusto. Before founding Emergence, Jason was a General Partner with USVP and an associate and Kauffman Fellow with Venrock. He previously worked at Bain & Company and Welsh, Carson, Anderson, and Stowe. Jason graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Harvard with Distinction. Jason was awarded the Charles Williams Fellowship at Harvard Business School for post-graduate research in Entrepreneurship and Finance. Jason is married with two children. The most unique trivia about Jason is that he is a twin married to a twin. Andy Freire serves as Minister of Modernization, Innovation, and Technology in the Buenos Aires City Government. Prior to this, Andy was an entrepreneur, both in the business and social sectors. After starting his career at Procter & Gamble, Andy co-founded and led Officenet (purchased by Staples in 2004), a company that revolutionized the distribution of office supplies in Latin America. Andy also co-founded Axialent, a global consulting and corporate training firm, where he served as Chairman and CEO until December 2011. Since 2011, Andy has focused on building Quasar Ventures, a company builder of technology companies. Through Quasar, Andy has co-founded Restorando.com, Avenida. com, Rodati.com, and Trocafone.com. Andy has received numerous awards including "Global Leader for Tomorrow" in 2000 by the World Economic Forum (WEF). He has also held many leadership positions in the community including serving as Chairman of Endeavor Argentina and of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) in Argentina, as well as being on the Global Advisory Board of Harvard Business School. Andy has a Licenciatura in Economics with honors magna cum laude from the University of San Andrés in Buenos Aires, and is an OPM (33) from Harvard Business School.
