15 BILL REICHERT Garage Technology Ventures United States Bill Reichert is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist. Since co-founding Garage Technology Ventures in 1998, Bill has focused on early-stage information technology and materials science companies. Prior to Garage, Bill was a co-founder or senior executive in several venture-backed technology startups, including Trademark Software, The Learning Company, and Academic Systems. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey & Company, Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., and the World Bank. Bill earned a B.A. at Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He was a founding board member and a Chairman of the Churchill Club, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. CHRIS ROGERS Lumia Capital United States Christopher T. Rogers is a partner at Lumia Capital, an expansion-stage VC partnering with leading tech companies in under-invested emerging markets and forward-thinking US companies targeting these markets to accelerate growth. Previously, he was the co-founder of Nextel Communications (acquired by Sprint for $35 billion) and its two predecessor companies. Chris brings 30 years of mobile industry experience as a founder, advisor, and operator. Most recently, Chris served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Spectrum, at Sprint where he evaluated and executed strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and joint ventures within the mobile communication and e-commerce sectors. He sits on the boards of LightSquared and Nextel International (NIHD). PATRICK SAGISI DBL Partners United States Patrick is an Asso ciate at DBL Part ners and a Kauff man Fel low. Patrick sources and per forms dili gence on invest ment oppor tu ni ties, advises port fo lio com pany man age ment, and helps port fo lio com pa nies imple ment their dou ble bot tom line prac tices. He is a board observer at DBL port fo lio com pa nies Map box, Kateeva, Pow er Genix, Urban sit ter, Siva Power, Yer dle and Bright source Energy, and was pre vi ously a board observer at OPX Biotech nolo gies. He also works closely with View, The Real Real, Planet Labs and SpaceX. Patrick is a three- time Olympian in swim ming, and was Guam's Open ing Cer e monies Flag- bearer in the 1996 Atlanta Sum mer Games. JAKE SAPER Emergence Capital United States Jake Saper is a Senior Associate at Emergence Capital and a Kauffman Fellow. Jake comes to investing after a career as an entrepreneur and consultant, working in contexts ranging from solar plants to doctors' offices. As such, he is passionate about transforming the way non-desk jobs get done, using innovative platforms like Google Glass (Augmedix) and drones (DroneDeploy). Prior to joining Emergence, Jake worked in Kleiner Perkins' Green Growth Fund, where he sourced and led diligence on companies in the geospatial, agricultural tech, and enterprise SaaS sectors. Jake earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Yale University and his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Jake also earned an MS in Environment and Resources from Stanford.
