24 INGRESSE GABRIEL BENARROS Brazil Ingresse is a Brazilian social ticketing company that enables people to discover the concerts, nightclubs, parties, and theater plays of their choice. It connects organizers to their audience through an intuitive platform. Any user can post an event on Ingresse. Event creation is crowdsourced to organizers and performers. Through the platform, people have the ability to learn which of their friends will be attending specific events, where these friends will be sitting in the venue, and browse their friends' opinions and reviews. Organizers can download Ingresse's mobile apps to validate their tickets at the door, turning their phones into scanners. The company's aim is to help people find the right events and get them in. Ingresse was founded in 2012. INSTABEAT HIND HOBEIKA Lebanon IN M UNOVA DAN KAPLAN | JORGE VILLALONGA Argentina INTERL ATIN ALEJANDRO CARRILO | FRANCISCO ORTEGA Mexico Instabeat is the first waterproof heads-up monitor that tracks, stores, and displays instant feedback of swimmers' heart rate during their swim to optimize their training and achieve their peak performance. Instabeat's display monitor mounts on the straps of any swimming goggles, allowing swimmers to monitor their heart rate in real time through a color coded display on the interior of their goggles. The device is small, creates minimal friction with water, and provides key information without having the swimmer lose focus. Inmunova is a biotech company that uses its patented IMC platform to design and develop a new generation of vaccines for human and animal diseases. Typical vaccines either use dead bacteria or weakened bacteria to prompt the body to create a resistance. However, dead bacteria may be too dead and not initiate the creation of the resistance, while the weakened bacteria may not be weak enough and cause more harm than good. Inmunova creates recombinant vaccines by using proteins that mimic harmful bacteria or viruses but are not harmful themselves, allowing the company to create treatments with zero side effects. Inmunova already has two vaccines in final clinical testing, with five more products in the pipeline. InterLatin is bringing Mexico to the forefront of the technological boom.
