8 SANTIAGO CANIGGIA BEGOLEA Mountain Nazca Argentina ALAN CHANG Capricorn Investment Group United States Santiago Bengolea is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor. He is Founder of Plumerillo Winery, a boutique winery in Mendoza, which was sold in 2007; and is co-founder of Faro Capital, a sustainable farming fund. He has extensive experience in consulting, development and management of investment initiatives, as well as corporate law experience, as part of the Ernst & Young team. He graduated as a lawyer from Universidad de Buenos Aires and holds a Business Executive Certificate from Universidad de Belgrano. He participated of the first edition of the "Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness in Latin America" program, ECLA, at Columbia University Business School, where he now is an advisor and sponsor. Alan Chang is Partner and Managing Director at Capricorn Investment Group. Alan oversees Capricorn's multi-asset class portfolio of investments in Asia and emerging markets as well as Capricorn's global venture portfolio. Prior to Capricorn, Alan worked at DFJ New England with early-stage venture investments and at Montgomery Securities (now Banc of America Securities) advising technology companies on corporate finance. Alan is a CFA charter holder and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S.E. from Duke University, graduating cum laude with a triple major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Art History. DAVID CHENG DCM Ventures United States David is a strong believer in the power of a company's narrative and is excited to work with talented entrepreneurs to discover those narratives. At DCM Ventures, David focuses on opportunities in the consumer internet, mobile applications, and Software-as-a-Service space. Having advised venture capital and hedge fund clients in the past as a consultant, David looks forward to utilizing his experiences and knowledge in order to find great companies with powerful stories. David actively supports portfolio companies such as Athos, Coffee Meets Bagel, Life360, Roomi, Stride Health, X.ai, Yik Yak, and ZenBanx. Most recently, David worked as a management consultant at Accenture in New York City where he focused on strategy engagements for Venture Capital, Healthcare, Financial Services, and Technology clients. PATRICK BURTIS Amadeus Capital Partners United States Pat Burtis joined Amadeus in 2006 and is a partner in Amadeus' San Francisco office. He invests in high-tech companies globally, with a focus on Latin America and the US. Pat's sector interests include fintech, edtech, digital media, and cleantech. He currently serves on the Boards of Bidu, Descomplica, and GreenRoad and is an observer at Magnetic. He has also worked closely with Transmode (TRMO.ST), Tobii (TOBII.ST), Optos (LON:OPTS), ClickTale, and GlySure. In 2010-2011, Pat served as interim CFO and CEO at GreenRoad. Pat began his career with five years in Bain & Co's Boston office. From 1997-2004, Pat was an independent consultant in the cleantech, high-tech, health care, and materials fields.
