16 SANTIAGO FOSSATTI Principal, Kaszek Ventures Brazil Santiago Fossatti is a Principal at Kaszek Ventures, a leading venture capital firm in Latin America, founded by Hernan Kazah, Co-Founder and former COO/CFO at MercadoLibre, and Nicolas Szekasy (former CFO at MercadoLibre). Santiago joined Kaszek Ventures in 2011. Before working at Kaszek Ventures, Santiago was an Associate at Value Partners Management Consultancy, where he worked on site in strategic projects for several of Latin America's leading telecom operators in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Peru. Prior to this he worked at Banco Galicia (Argentina's largest private bank) as an investor relations officer and equity analyst. Santiago hols a degree in industrial engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires. ERIK CAVALCANTE Partner, Vox Capital Brazil Erik has been supporting the Brazilian entrepreneurial scene for more than 15 years. He previously co-founded and exited a tech company which he built for over 10 years. In 2012 he joined Vox Capital, a social impact fund that supports high growth companies that offer solutions to real problems in the health, education and financial services sectors in Brazil. Erik is actively engaged in Brazilian entrepreneurial programs and experiences. Erik holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from EE-UFMG, and completed his executive education at Babson College. THOMAZ FIGUEIREDO Managing Director, Provence Brazil Thomaz Figueiredo is a managing director at Provence Capital, mainly focused on venture capital activities. His responsibilities include investment analysis and supporting portfolio companies' operation in several areas such as R&D, marketing and finance. Mr. Figueiredo holds a BA in Marketing from FAAP, a master's degree in business administration from FGV and attended the VCx at Draper University last summer. FRANCISCO JARDIM Co-Founder, SP Ventures Brazil Francisco Jardim is the Co-Founder of SP Ventures and the Managing Director of the Sao Paulo Innovation Fund. Previously, he managed the Criatec Fund´s operations in São Paulo. During this period, Francisco led thirteen investments in early stage transactions. He represented Criatec on the Board of Directors of seven firms in a range of sectors including biotechnology, new materials, IT and agribusiness. Before joining Criatec, Francisco worked in wholesale banking and hedge funds, in additional to founding his own trading company. Francisco has a degree in Business Administration with a focus on finance from Saint Louis University (USA) and has attended a course on Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital at FGV SP.
