DE PINHO Associate, Riverwood Capital United States Vivian is Deputy Chairman of DMGT International and President of Seagrass Capital Partners. Vivian Baring started working for his family business DMGT in 1981 originally with Northcliffe Newspapers Group. Vivian then went onto become Chairman of A&N International Media, building a collection of digital businesses in nine countries in Central and Eastern Europe, concluding with a successful exit in 2012 when the Group decided to re focus on core markets. In 2011, he became Deputy Chairman of DMGT International, looking for digital businesses that will complement existing DMGT businesses world wide with a particular focus in Latin America. Vivian is also Founder and President of Seagrass Capital Partners, which invests in angel and early stage digital start up businesses in Latin America. Jose De Pinho is an Associate at Riverwood Capital. Prior to Riverwood, Jose led corporate development at Pixeon, a Riverwood portfolio company, where he focused on M&A and corporate strategy. He previously worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan, where he worked with companies in Brazil on M&A and capital markets deals. Before J.P. Morgan, Jose was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Jose graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University. He also holds a MBA degree from Columbia Business School. DELEGATES MARTIN GEDALIN Founder & Managing Partner, Lumia CapitalUnites States Martin Gedalin founded Lumia Capital to partner with leading tech companies in under-invested emerging markets and forward-thinking US companies targeting these markets to accelerate growth. At Lumia, Martin serves on the board of HIRED, EatStreet, and MarkaVIP. Martin is also responsible for overseeing Lumia's investments in Xtime (acquired by Cox Automotive), OpenDNS (acquired by Cisco), and Kabbage, among other companies. Martin launched Lumia after four years at Focus Ventures, an IT venture capital firm in Palo Alto with $850M under management and 110 investments across three funds. At Focus, Martin helped lead the firm's Internet and software efforts. Prior to Focus, Martin was a Product Manager at Oracle, where he was responsible for managing core components of Fusion CRM, a $1B+ product line.
